Starting this month, the Cheongyang County in South Chungcheong Province will supply 1.9 million superior pepper seedlings to local farmers. In order to ensure stable cultivation according to the farming method, immediate distribution will be made to farmers cultivating in greenhouses, and supply will be made from the end of this month to open-field farmers where the risk of low-temperature damage is high. The county directly supports 100 won per seedling to help farmers manage their farms. The county plans to continuously expand the current 12 specialized seedling nurseries with a goal of supplying 10 million seedlings annually by 2030. Yu Tae-jo, Director of the Agricultural Policy and Livestock Division of Cheongyang County, said, "We hope that the distribution of superior seedlings will lead to an increase in the yield of high-quality Cheongyang peppers."
