The South Chungcheong Agricultural Technology Institute Strawberry Research Institute won the top 10 best award for regional specialty crops at the "2025 Regional Specialty Crops Business Achievement Report" held in Iksan, North Jeolla Province, which was organized by the Rural Development Administration on the 18th. This evaluation was conducted based on the first comprehensive plan for the cultivation of regional specialty crops (2021-2025), comprehensively examining the excellence of research results, field diffusion potential, and contributions to the local community of 69 crops promoted by agricultural technology institutes across the country. The Strawberry Research Institute achieved this by developing high-quality new strawberry varieties and disseminating practical technologies, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of South Chungcheong's strawberry industry.
