Turkiye: Citrus exports increase in Aydin

As the export season of citrus fruits harvested in the winter months in Turkey begins, demand for quality fruits, although the yield is low, is quite high this year. With the harvest of citrus fruits, export season started in businesses in Aydın. The meticulously collected oranges and tangerines are processed in facilities in Aydın and made ready for export. Facility employee Elif Saltık explained the preparation process before export and stated that the first thing they do is separate the leaves from the products. Noting that the rotten parts of the products are then removed and the washing process is started, Saltık said, "After the washing process, the waxing process is carried out.
