Citrus producers face pests, but harvest progresses

The Conjunctural Report released by Emater/RS-Ascar this Thursday (6) informed that the citrus orchards in Rio Grande do Sul are advancing in the stages of harvest and fruit formation, with regional variations in management and prices received by producers. In the administrative region of Caxias do Sul, the cleaning of flowers has already been concluded in most properties. According to Emater/RS-Ascar, there is "adequate fruit set," and the climatic conditions of the last few days have contributed to the development of the plants. Producers continue with phytosanitary treatments, and no severe attacks of pests or diseases have been recorded. In Erechim, the harvest of oranges has been intensified, with an increase in prices.
