Climate change has led to an early ripening of vegetables and fruits in southern Ukraine, resulting in a 15-20% increase in yields. The country's climate is changing faster than the global average, with air temperature rising by 2° C over the past decade. This has allowed farmers to plant and harvest crops earlier, and adapt to drier conditions by focusing on more drought-resistant crops. However, the increasing temperatures are also posing challenges for farmers, such as the need for more water for irrigation. Experts warn that up to half of the world's plants may disappear by 2050 due to inability to adapt to new climatic conditions.
