Cocoa grinding in Brazil maintained a downward trend in the third quarter of 2025, totaling 46.1 thousand tons, a 16.6% decrease compared to the same period in 2024, according to data from SindiDados – Campos Consultores, released by the National Association of Cocoa Processing Industries (AIPC). From January to September, the total processed was 144 thousand tons, a 15.1% drop compared to the previous year. According to Anna Paula Losi, executive president of AIPC, the reduction is the result of high raw material costs, a drop in demand for derivatives, especially cocoa butter, and compressed margins, which have limited industrial recovery. "The reception showed some punctual relief, but grinding has not yet followed this movement," she pointed out.
