Droughts in coffee-producing countries and a decrease in global supply have led to a significant increase in world coffee prices, which has also affected the cost of coffee in Ukraine. The average consumer prices for coffee in Ukraine rose by over 5% in March compared to the previous month. The price hike is attributed to the global trend, drought in Ukraine, inflation, cost of electricity, and workers' wages. The coffee industry is responding to the price surge by reducing purchases. The cost of Arabica may drop by 30% by the end of the year due to expected good harvest and reduced demand, but the industry may continue to face significant losses until then.
