On May 23, 2025, global coffee prices dropped significantly on the London and New York exchanges, with both Robusta and Arabica reaching multi-week lows due to increased inventories and accelerated harvests in Brazil and Indonesia. Despite high prices, Brazil's retail coffee sales have fallen by 5% since the beginning of the year. The USDA predicts higher coffee production in Brazil, Vietnam, and Indonesia for the 2025/26 crop year, while Colombia's output is expected to decline due to adverse weather. In Vietnam, domestic coffee prices also fell, ranging from 122,500 to 123,200 VND/kg across different provinces.
