by Tomas Okuda São Paulo, 07/01/2021 - Total coffee exports by Brazil (unroasted, roasted, extracts, essences and concentrates) in June reached around 3.046 million 60 kg bags, which corresponds to an increase of about 22% compared to the same month in 2020, when 2.493 million bags were shipped. In terms of foreign exchange income, there was growth of 27.9% between the two periods, from US$ 324.568 million to US$ 454.205 million. The data were released this Thursday by the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), of the Ministry of Economy, and consider 21 business days last month. Of green coffee, nearly 2.904 million bags were exported abroad, 23% more than in June 2020 (close to 2.359 million bags). Revenue from exports of the product was US$ 408.052 million, 45% higher than in the same month last year (US$ 281.398 million). Considering only processed coffee, in June the country shipped around 142.3 thousand bags, representing an increase of 6.4% compared to the same month in 2020 ...
