The Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA) has announced a new resolution that allows more bovine and buffalo establishments in certain departments to export meat to the US and Canada. The resolution also includes the free distribution of National Individual Identification Devices, enabling real-time traceability and tracking of animals' sanitary events. This is expected to benefit around 55,000 heads of cattle in the region. The ICA is working towards making Colombia a beef supplier for the US and Canada, while ensuring the country remains free from foot-and-mouth disease.
