REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — National food security is assessed to be strengthening after the government implemented food sector reforms since 2024. Commission IV of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia stated that the self-sufficiency policies prioritized by President Prabowo Subianto's administration are beginning to show measurable results in production and farmer welfare. Chair of Commission IV of the House of Representatives, Siti Hediati Hariyadi or Titiek Soeharto, said a number of indicators show improvement. "Various indicators show a significant increase in production, farmer welfare, supply stability, and reform of national food governance," Titiek said in a statement in Jakarta, Friday (14/11/2025).
