Competition Authority from France investigates several dairies

The investigation services of the European Competition Authority have begun, with the prior authorization of a freedom and detention judge, to carry out unannounced visit and seizure operations with dairies suspected of having implemented anti-competitive practices in the milk supply sector of cow. The Authority has insisted that these interventions do not prejudge the guilt of the companies affected by the alleged practices and that only a thorough investigation will make it possible to establish, if necessary. Competition has not released the names of the dairies that are going to be investigated, but the newspaper Le Figaro has pointed out that at least four of the big dairies are on the list: Lactalis (President, Lactel, Galbani... ), Savencia (Caprice des Dieux) and the dairy cooperatives Sodiaal (Entremont, Candia, Yoplait…) and Eurial (Pavé d'Affinois, Soignon…).
