The termination of the trade-free regime with the EU and return to a restrictive quota and tariff system will mean a structural change in Ukraine's foreign trade conditions. Delo.ua writes about this.
Possible macroeconomic consequences:
The poultry sector is oriented towards the EU. Reduction of the quota will mean a financial blow to an industry already experiencing pressure from logistics and energy sectors. Ukraine is the largest honey supplier to the EU. Under conditions of low quotas and high demand, restrictions will lead to a drop in domestic prices and the displacement of small producers.
As AgroPolit.com wrote, the EU has established quota volumes for agricultural products from Ukraine. The EU also needs Ukrainian imports.
