Conab: Brazil planted 3.5% of the expected soybean area and 26.7% of the summer corn

As of last Sunday (28), the planting of soybeans for the 2025/26 season in Brazil had reached 3.5% of the area planned in Brazil, reported the National Supply Company (Conab) in its weekly crop progress bulletin. This represents an advance of 2.9 percentage points (p.p.) compared to the previous week. Compared to the same time in the 2024/25 season, when 2.1% of the area had been planted, the work is 1.4 p.p. ahead. Compared to the average of the last five years, of 3.6%, there is a slight delay of 0.1 percentage point. Among the main producers, Paraná leads the work, with 13% of the area planted, followed by Mato Grosso, with 6%. Mato Grosso do Sul accounts for 2% of the planted area and Santa Catarina, with 1%.
