In its final report on the 2024/25 agricultural season, published on September 11, state-owned Conab noted an increase in planted area by 1.9 million hectares to 81.7 million hectares and favorable weather conditions that contributed to good results. The soybean harvest, the main crop, is estimated at a record 171.5 million tons, up 20.2 million tons from the previous year. Given more favorable weather conditions in most producing regions compared to the 2023/24 season, the average yield in the country in the current cycle reached 3,621 kg/ha, which is the highest figure on record.
