The pandemic did not significantly impact the bakery industry, but a decrease in bread consumption and price increases led to financial challenges for many companies, especially in certain provinces. However, bakers and confectioners from Podlasie, Świętokrzyski, and Małopolska were more conscientious in managing their finances. The largest number of companies with payment difficulties were located in Mazovia, with the highest unpaid liabilities.
