Due to its lower price, consuming meat in Argentina is cheaper compared to Uruguay, Chile and Brazil, reveals a study by the Mediterranean Foundation. On average, the value per kilo ranges from US$8.24 to US$9.54. As the report explains, the differences in dollar values are due more than anything to the fact that the comparison cuts are not the same in each country. Although the comparison is still in favor of Argentina, the report warns that the gap with neighboring countries is closing.
