Kangjin County (County Head Kang Jin-won) proudly announced that its "excellent calf" won the Excellence Award in the Female Calf category at the 41st Jeollanam-do Premier Hanwoo Competition, once again proving the excellence of its quality. The calves eligible for evaluation were those under 7 months old with superior Hanwoo lineage, and only those that passed disease screening and parentage verification were allowed to participate. The ranking was determined through strict evaluation processes, including appearance and linear assessment, by the Korean Livestock Improvement Association. Among the participating calves, the "Excellence Award" in the Female Calf category was won by a farm in Noyang, Seongjeon-myeon, achieving a four-year consecutive win in the Superior Hanwoo category of the Jeollanam-do Premier Hanwoo Competition. Kangjin County is committed to the Hanwoo industry as a key area of regional agriculture.
