The organized ports of the North handled 30.2 million tons of cargo between January and August 2025. The growth was concentrated in solid bulk cargo, which totaled 24.8 million tons, with a highlight on corn. In August, 3.9 million tons of solid bulk cargo were handled, an increase of 2.16% over the same month in 2024. Corn accounted for 2 million tons, up 10.4%, while fertilizers and inorganic chemicals advanced by 18% and 13.1%, respectively.
