Corn harvest starts in Bulgaria

only 200 kg/dka, which is 34.4% lower than at the same stage in 2024, when the yield was 305 kg/dka. In comparison, 18,200 hectares of sunflower were harvested out of the expected 949,000 hectares, with an average yield of 123 kg/dka, which is an improvement compared to the previous week (99 kg/dka), but still 2.4% lower than last year. The latest data on autumn crops is also encouraging: 7.3 million tons of wheat were harvested (≈ 580 kg/dka), which is 2.3% more than in the previous season. 1.1 million tons of barley were threshed (≈ 568 kg/dka), which is 4.8% more.
