The 2024/25 summer corn crop planting in Brazil's Center-South region is nearly completed, with 98.8% of the estimated area planted, equivalent to 3.512 million hectares. Four states, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná, and São Paulo, have already fully planted their allocated areas. Other states like Minas Gerais and Mato Grosso are close to completion. This year's progress surpasses last year's by covering 96.5% of the estimated area, marking a slight improvement over the five-year average of 97.9%.
