Haenam County (Mayor Myeong Hyeon-gwan) is making every effort for advance inspection and rapid response to prevent damage to farmed aquatic products due to high water temperatures in the summer. From early last month, a high water temperature warning alert stage has been issued for the waters from the northern end of Udolmok in Haenam County to the western end of Jungnim-ri in Imhoe-myeon, Jindo County, and the southwestern end of Haenam County. The high water temperature warning is issued when the water temperature is expected to reach or exceed 28 degrees Celsius, and this year, with the highest early summer temperatures recorded since meteorological observations began, the high water temperature warning came more than two weeks earlier than last year due to the rise in water temperature. Since last June, Haenam County has established a comprehensive high water temperature plan and is operating a mobile inspection team.
