County of Haenam makes all-out efforts to prevent damage from high temperatures in oyster and fish farms

Haenam County is making every effort to prevent damage to farmed aquatic products due to high water temperatures in the summer by conducting preemptive inspections and responding swiftly. From early last month, a high water temperature warning has been issued for the waters from the northern end of Udo Island in Haenam County to the western end of Junglim-ri in Imhoe-myeon, Jindo County, and the southwestern end of Haenam County. The high water temperature warning is issued when water temperatures are expected to reach or exceed 28 degrees Celsius. This year, with the highest early summer temperatures recorded since meteorological observations began, the high water temperature warning was issued more than two weeks earlier than last year.
