Crayfish, also known as freshwater lobster, has arrived at a fisherman's counter in Düzce, Turkey, for the first time. Weighing in at 800 tons last year, this seafood delicacy is now available to the public and is being sold for 30 liras per kilogram. Crayfish is rich in omega and is a staple in luxury restaurants, both in Turkey and abroad. According to fisherman Tuncay Kılıç, crayfish are easy to cook and are usually boiled before being peeled and served. These freshwater crustaceans are relatively expensive in restaurants, selling for 500 liras cooked.
