In 2024, Croatia experienced a 1.9% decrease in wheat production, totaling 806,000 tonnes, as reported by the national statistical office. Despite this decline, the country saw increases in the production of winter and spring barley by 1.7% to 295,000 tonnes, sunflower by 10.8% to 175,000 tonnes, maize by 5.1% to 2.093 million tonnes, and rapeseed by 23.3% to 53,000 tonnes. On the other hand, sugar beet production fell by 5.6% to 472,000 tonnes.
