The Ukrainian vegetable market has recorded a significant drop in greenhouse cucumber prices at the beginning of June, which has become a noticeable trend this season. The price decrease positively affects the availability of these vegetables for consumers, as cucumbers are becoming increasingly affordable to purchase. This is reported by AgroReview Factors Contributing to the Price Decrease of Cucumbers Industry specialists emphasize that such a price reduction during this period is quite predictable. The main reason is the increase in the number of cucumbers coming to the market from summer greenhouses. Due to the rise in air temperature and the lengthening of daylight hours, agricultural complexes are ramping up production, ensuring the market is supplied with fresh produce in significant volumes. Current Prices and Season Prospects As of June 5, the main batches of greenhouse cucumbers produced in Ukraine are being sold at prices ranging from 35 to 65 hryvnias per kilogram.
