After a sharp decline in prices in Ukraine last week, cucumbers have again begun to rise in price. The supply of the vegetable has decreased in the market because mass cleanouts are being conducted in greenhouses in preparation for the second crop rotation. Analysts from the EastFruit project noted that greenhouse cucumber prices are within the range of 30-50 UAH/kg ($0.72-1.20/kg), which is on average 13% more expensive than last working week. At the same time, greenhouse cucumbers in Ukraine are on average 16% cheaper than during the same period last year. It is not excluded that further price increases for cucumbers could negatively impact the vegetable's sales volumes. At ATB, the vegetable is sold for 49.95 UAH/kg.
