The cultivation cost of Spanish potato is +4 cents per kilo

In November 2021, the Association of Potato Growers of Castilla y León (APPACYL) calculated that production costs would increase by approximately €1,400/ha in 2022, compared to the average cost of €6,500/ha in 2021. Eduardo Arroyo, the association's president , however, now points out in statements to the news portal Agrodigital.com that this figure should be revised upwards. After all, they did not think in November that electricity costs would continue to rise for so long and so fast. That is why they now estimate the increase in production costs at € 1,800-2,000/ha, or about 4 cents per kilo.
