The departmental administration of Cundinamarca, Colombia, has launched the Incentive for Agricultural Insurance, ISACUND, to secure 10,000 hectares of land for small and medium producers. The project will invest $ 3,000 million and will benefit producers from all production chains. The insurance will cover risks such as excess or deficit of rain, strong winds, floods, frost, hail, landslides, avalanches, climatic origin diseases or pests, and will be valid for 12 months for late-yield crops. Producers will only pay the value of VAT, with the cost of the premium assumed by the departmental administration.
