The Regional Management of Agriculture of Cusco, through its Coffee Project, leads one of the most important initiatives to strengthen regional coffee farming: the delivery of 3 million coffee seedlings to producer committees that include more than 4,500 beneficiaries in the provinces of La Convención, Calca, and Paucartambo. The distribution began in November 2025 and will continue until February 2026, taking advantage of the rainy season which favors the adaptation and optimal development of the seedlings in the final field. This aims to boost coffee productivity and ensure a more competitive future for the farming families of Cusco. To guarantee the quality of the process, central, flying, and family nurseries have been installed, where high-yield and excellent cup varieties of coffee such as Catimor, Marsellesa, Limani, Geisha, Castillo, and Obata have been produced, selected according to the ...
