The Seogwipo branch of the Daejeong Agricultural Cooperative (Chairman Kang Sung-bang) held a welcome ceremony and safety education for public seasonal workers on the 12th in the assembly hall of the cooperative. The event was organized to welcome 49 public seasonal workers who entered the country to alleviate the shortage of labor in rural areas and to help them adapt to agricultural work sites. The event was attended by Seogwipo Mayor Kim Won-chil, Vice Chairman Yang Byeong-woo of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Assembly, Vice Director Kim Sung-man of the National Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives, Director Kang Dae-gyu of the Seogwipo branch, and the executive members of the Daejeong Agricultural Cooperative. During the event, the workers received necessary items including winter clothing and bouquets as a gesture of welcome, and the guests gave speeches and words of encouragement to the workers.
