The First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan, Sharip Sharipov, visited the Khasavyurt District to study the development of horticulture and the production of "golden apricots." The district, with a garden area of 2,004 hectares and over 700 hectares of intensive gardens, is prioritizing horticulture and sees potential for further development. Dagestan, which is in 2nd place in the Russian Federation in terms of garden area, is planning to increase the production of seedlings of traditional crops such as apricot, cherry, and plum. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan is also considering proposals to increase the production of seedlings and revive mountain-valley gardening.
