Dairy products have become more expensive in Ukraine

As of the beginning of September, retail prices for a number of dairy products included in the consumer basket of Ukrainians have increased again. "Decreasing milk production volumes, increasing purchase prices, power outages, problems with cooling equipment and spoilage of finished products in stores probably caused some increase in the prices of most dairy products included in the consumer basket of Ukrainians," the report says. AVM reported that as of September 4, pasteurized milk cost an average of UAH 49.10/kg (+3% to August this year and +19% to last year). Kefir with a fat content of 2.5% on average cost UAH 56.29/kg (+1.4% to August this year and +14% to last year). The price of sour cream with a fat content of 15% was on average UAH 133.93/kg (+0.8% and +15%, respectively).
