Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Y Giang Gry Nie Knong signed a plan to implement the Prime Minister's Decision on approving the Project on sustainable development of Macadamia in the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. in the local area. Accordingly, Dak Lak strives to develop the macadamia raw material area by 2030 to reach 4,000 hectares (net planting 1,000 hectares, intercropping 3,000 hectares). As of July 2021, this locality has an area of 2,000 hectares of macadamia and the new planting plan for the 2021-2030 period is 2,000 hectares. The current macadamia acreage of Dak Lak is developed in 7 districts and cities including: Krong Nang, Ea H'leo, Krong Buk, Cu Mgar, Ea Kar, Buon Ho town and Buon Ma Thuot city.
