Danish delegation visits Maranhão, Brazil and highlights the role of RTRS for its commitment to sustainable soy

The Danish delegation, led by the European initiative Danish Alliance for Responsible Soy (Danish Soy Alliance) of Ethical Trade Denmark together with WWF Denmark and Brazil, and made up of members of the Danish government, local NGOs and private companies, visited Brasília (DF) and São Luís (MA), among other regions of Brazil, in early November. The Danish Soy Alliance brings together different actors in the Danish industry with the aim of promoting responsible soy production, and has set ambitious targets to address deforestation, biodiversity and social impacts associated with soy production, and RTRS is part of its roadmap . Among other activities planned by the delegation for the visit, the delegation toured the facilities of “Fazenda Nossa Senhora Aparecida”, an RTRS certified property located in Água Fria de Goiás, which in 2022 produced 15,509 tons of soybeans and 18,000 tons of RTRS corn.
