In 2023, Brazilian turkey meat exports increased by 17.8% compared to the previous year, reaching a total of 69.8 thousand tons and generating over US$200 million in revenue. The largest importer of Brazilian turkey meat was Mexico, importing 16 thousand tons, while South Africa imported 12.9 thousand tons and the European Union imported 10.8 thousand tons. The president of the Brazilian Animal Protein Association, Ricardo Santin, expects the upward trend in turkey meat exports to continue in 2024.
