Peru experienced a decline in artichoke exports from January to November 2023, with a decrease of 18% in volume and 15% in value compared to the previous year, amounting to 41,827 tons worth $121 million. Despite this, the average price per kilogram rose by 4% to $2.89. The United States, Spain, and France were the primary recipients of these exports, accounting for 60%, 29%, and 4% respectively. While exports to the US and France saw a decrease in both volume and value, those to Spain saw a 4% increase in both areas.
