In recent times, it is common to encounter axis deer or wild boars roaming the territories of many provinces in Argentina. There are regions where the advance of these exotic species represents a real headache for entire communities, and the impact on the environments where they are deployed is already visible. Corrientes, Misiones, Santa Fe, Córdoba, and Buenos Aires are regions where these species have been gaining ground, and an unprecedented population explosion has been recorded. In addition to the environment, these species generate problems for agricultural producers, as wild boars attack smaller livestock without hesitation, and even deaths of calves have been recorded in vast areas of Corrientes.
