In the January-October period of 2024, Turkey's hazelnut exports experienced substantial growth, with total exports reaching 254,174 tons and generating over 2 billion dollars. The Eastern Black Sea Exporters' Association highlighted a 20% increase in domestic exports, leading to a 57% rise in foreign exchange inflow. Processed hazelnuts saw a 7% increase in quantity and a 34% increase in value, while shelled hazelnut exports surged dramatically by 653% in quantity and 736% in value during September-October 2024 compared to the previous year. In-shell hazelnut exports also increased significantly. Overall, there was a 14% rise in export quantity and a 46% increase in value, driven by strong international demand and higher unit prices.
