The Walnut Production Areas Development Project, led by the Denizli Governorship, has distributed 536 thousand certified walnut saplings to 7581 farmers in 18 districts to be planted on an area of 33 thousand 537 decares, aiming to make Denizli the walnut capital of Turkey. The project also involves regular monitoring of the established closed gardens by technical staff, with a retention rate between 80-90 percent. Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Osman Zolan has emphasized the importance of supporting farmers in producing high-quality walnuts, and the project has so far distributed a total of 536 thousand walnut saplings to farmers.
