Chachoengsao Province in Thailand is focusing on improving agricultural production to meet domestic and international standards, particularly by promoting the Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) standard among farmers. The Department of Agricultural Extension is leading efforts to transfer knowledge and guide farmers through the GAP certification process. The province has seen some farmers successfully obtain GAP certification for various crops, demonstrating a commitment to quality, food safety, and sustainable agriculture. The Department is also considering prioritizing GAP certification for single farmers and is coordinating with the Chachoengsao Agricultural Research and Development Center to assess the benefits of certification for farmers and provide support for group and individual certifications.
