In an interview with the "News Daily," he said, "This year, Russian agricultural workers have once again given us reason for pride. Despite encountering various weather disasters, including frosts, droughts, heavy rainfall, and early snow in multiple regions, this year's grain yield should reach 137 million tons net weight, making it one of the most bountiful years in modern Russian history." He pointed out that if not for such severe weather, the yield could have increased by several million tons. He added that buckwheat production is expected to reach 1 million tons by 2025, which will fully meet the raw material needs of processing capacity and ensure domestic market supply. Soybean production is also expected to exceed 8.5 million tons. The Russian Ministry of Agriculture had previously stated that the ministry maintains its forecast of a grain yield of 135 million tons for this year.
