The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam reports significant growth in the export and import of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products for the first nine months of 2021. Export turnover reached over 35.5 billion USD, a 17.7% increase from the previous year, with key products such as coffee, rubber, and seafood experiencing high growth. Import turnover rose by 41.6% to 32.2 billion USD. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the US remains the largest export market, with wood products being a significant contribution. Meanwhile, Cambodia has become the largest agricultural export market to Vietnam, selling mainly cashew nuts. The ministry is focusing on strategies to boost production, communication, and export of key agricultural products and is opening markets in Peru, Australia, Brazil, and other countries. Efforts will be made to support the export of various agricultural products to the EU, UK, and China, and to adapt to changes in the Chinese market.
