Some critical issues that had led to the surge in some fruit and vegetable prices seem to have been overcome: those of tomatoes, peppers, and zucchinis are falling, while the eggplant market is also returning to normal. The long weekend is boosting some productions, such as fava beans and strawberries. Cucumbers benefit from rising temperatures: the low trend then drives the demand for asparagus. Fennel, on the other hand, is paying the damages from the bad weather, while the melon campaign has not yet taken off due to the high level of quotations and not yet optimal quality.
