In the Ömerli district of Mardin, abandoned agricultural lands are being revitalized through a modern viticulture project. In collaboration with Mardin Metropolitan Municipality, GAP Regional Development Administration, Ömerli District Governor's Office, District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, and Ömerli Municipality, work has begun on the project to convert disadvantaged agricultural lands into modern viticulture. The project provides support to 30 farmers in a total area of 120 hectares. Kutbettin Yavuz, Director of Agricultural Services of Mardin Metropolitan Municipality, stated that the initiated work aims to both contribute to the economy and increase efficiency in agricultural production.
