The Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Egypt has temporarily banned the export of several agricultural products including crushed and gravel beans, lentils, wheat, flour, and pasta for the next three months to control the rising prices and ensure the availability of these essential food items for the local population. This decision aims to prevent the unjustified increase in food and strategic product prices, as seen in other countries like Ukraine, and to maintain the strategic stockpile of these commodities. The move is seen as a necessary measure to stabilize the market and protect the interests of Egyptian citizens, particularly in light of the economic challenges and the dependence on imports from Russia and Ukraine.
