Yüreğir Chamber of Agriculture President Mehmet Akın Doğan said that Çukurova farmers have been struggling with disasters for two years and that urgent support is needed. Agricultural production was once again severely affected by the agricultural frost, drought, and rising input costs experienced throughout Adana and Çukurova in 2025, followed by the heavy rains that took effect in 2026. Yüreğir Chamber of Agriculture President Mehmet Akın Doğan made a statement on the subject. Doğan reminded that farmers have faced natural disasters for two years in a row, saying, "The Çukurova farmer has been fighting disasters for two years, urgent support is essential. The producer has no more strength to endure." President Doğan recalled that the year 2025 was extremely difficult for the producers, saying, "Due to drought, frost events, and high costs, our farmers already suffered serious losses. In 2026, however, fields were submerged and cultivated areas were damaged due to excessive rains. Many of our producers had to replant their crops."
