Yeosu City is attracting attention as a new growth model for regional agriculture with the establishment of a large-scale sesame production area (5 hectares) centered around the new varieties 'Yeong-eung' and 'Haniol' in the Dolsan region this year. This project is being carried out as part of the 'Demonstration Project for the Creation of High-Quality Sesame New Variety Early Diffusion Area' and, along with the creation of the new variety sesame area, the development of packaged products such as sesame oil and roasted sesame is underway to be released under the brand 'Yeosu Tteul Sesame.' In particular, the products developed this time are processed products developed in collaboration with young farmers and local farmers and will be comprehensively evaluated in the 2025 Rural Development Administration-led agricultural technology dissemination business evaluation meeting.
