Domestic consumption of Brazilian coffee reaches approximately 22 million 60kg bags in the last twelve months

The total domestic consumption of Brazilian coffees, in the accumulated twelve months, specifically in the period from November 2023 to October 2024, reached the physical volume equivalent to 21.91 million 60kg bags, a performance that represents a small increase of 1.11% in relation to the same previous period, and, also, a per capita consumption equivalent to 5.01 kg per inhabitant per year. If a comparison is made with the production of the Brazilian coffee harvest recorded in 2024, which totaled the equivalent of 54.21 million 60kg bags, it can be seen that this domestic consumption for the period in question corresponds to approximately 40.4% of the total effectively harvested in the five Brazilian geographic regions.
