Beet campaign in Doukkala-Abda, Morocco: 82% of the program has already been completed, thanks to the commitment of 1,755 farmers

Despite unfavorable climatic conditions, marked by rainfall limited to 28 mm in the ORMVAD intervention zone, the 2024-2025 sugar beet sowing campaign began with determination on September 25 in the Doukkala-Abda region. The objective is to cover 10,000 hectares. To date, 7,516 hectares have been contracted by 1,936 farmers. Among them, 1,755 have already sown 6,813 hectares, bringing the program's progress rate to 82%, according to data communicated on Monday, December 2, 2024 by the Doukkala Regional Office for Agricultural Development (ORMVAD). This campaign is based on technical supervision reinforced by a regional committee associating ORMVAD, local authorities, Cosumar, and the Doukkala Sugar Beet Producers Association (APBD).
