Turkey's dried apricot exports for the 2023/24 season amounted to 66 thousand 832 tons, generating $399 million, with the average export price per ton increasing by 10.5 percent to $5,967. Despite a 17 percent decrease in quantity, the drop in foreign exchange income was limited to 8 percent. The Aegean Exporters' Association aims to increase exports to 107 thousand tons in the 2024/25 season and diversify markets, focusing on the United States, India, Australia, China, Japan, Brazil, and South Korea. The United States is the leading demander of Turkish dried apricots, with a demand of $63.6 million. The TURQUALITY Project, a collaboration between the Aegean Exporters' Associations and the US, has played a key role in boosting exports to the US market.
